My father in law is vaccinated with Covishield - took 2nd Doze on 30 April 2021. He had cold & fever on 17 May night. He went to PHC on 18 May, they took Rapid Antigent Test & Result was declared covid positive and subsequently was asked to be in hospital care as he takes BP tablets regularly. My query is Vaccines produce antibodies to fight Corona virus. Is it right procedure to use Rapid Antigen Test in this scenerio for testing, as this test simply checks the presence of antibodies which is expected to be present after vaccination ?

Although rapid antigen test are not 100 percent specific for covid but whatever district administration must be following is protocol and that's equal for all ...even after ur father has taken second dose still for the vaccine to be very efficacious it will take a month post vaccination ... So if the administration is keeping him under hospital care and monitoring I don't think its a bad situation ... Just keep calm and hopefully ur father will come out of this healthy !
