Rabies due to Licking of cow saliva
I often feed the street cows. While feeding the cow, the saliva often gets on my hand. I  have just found out..   cows can also transmit rabies through saliva . I don't know those cows were rabid or not I don't remember if I had a small cuts on my hand while feeding the cow .   It is a common thing that everyone gets minor cuts on their hands due to everyday work.  There is a possibility of touching of cow saliva on my hand if I had cut that time.. The last time I fed the cow was 4 weeks ago. Now I am scared about this matter ... Should I take of anti rabies vaccine ?

In rabies the animals behave very different than normal so you'll know when someone is wrong with your cow You should get your cow checked time to time for rabies and keep doing their vaccination Till you follow all the above things you don't need to get a vaccination for yourself

Risk of rabies in your case is extremely low. Saliva contact on intact skin or old minor cuts doesn’t usually require anti-rabies vaccination, especially from cows, which are rare rabies carriers. Since it’s been 4 weeks with no symptoms, vaccination is not needed. However, for peace of mind and proper assessment, I strongly recommend you consult me directly for detailed guidance and counselling. ⸻ Next Steps: Please book a consultation with me — I’ll evaluate your situation properly and help you feel more at ease.
