If the pregnancy is less than 7 weeks; termination can be done with pill (3% failure rate).
If pregnancy is more than 7 weeks it should be removed surgically (dilatation and evacuation DnE)
Cost will depend upon the method of termination.

Pregnancy can be terminated by medical abortion with oral abortion tablets upto 6weeksof gestation although 100%success is not guaranteed. Other method is surgical procedure.

Your friend should better visit a gynecologist on immediate basis. She will prescribe her medications to terminate pregnancy.
