Question regarding ct scan
I had a chest xray for high esionophils which showed inflated lungs. Then he asked me to get a pft done, i had done he said its normal and you don't show copd symptoms and you show asthma tendency only but if u want to be absolutely sure about copd get ct scan done.. Note: I don't smoke(2-3 cigg a year), that too 3 years back, never smoked before that. I have ige level: 440+ I have esionophilia(10.5%) My mother is 63 and she's asthmatic. So my question is, given the normal pft report, should I go for ct scan or not required goven my normal pft result. The only symptom i have is cough with sputum occasionally, mostly happens when i get anxious, after i eat food. No acidity right now but i used to suffer form acidity. And some insomnia issue. So is this copd or cough variant asthma? Please advice.
