Two days back I went for an Upper GI endoscopy.
Today when I went to toilet I saw a red color dot in school. I thought it was blood but when I poured water in it didn't vanish. Had it been blood it would have vanished.
Can upper GI endoscopy cause red blood in stool ?
Because upper GI endoscopy reaches till duodenum and had there been bleeding in duodenum due to the grazing of an endoscope the blood would have become black and the stool would have been black in color and then there should have been a black colored on stool.
Am I right? Or is it really the complication of endoscopy?
