Unlikely related to that exposure—timing and symptoms don’t suggest an STD. Still, get routine STD PROFILE test

Namastey Your symptoms—respiratory infections many months after a single exposure—are not typical indicators of a sexually transmitted disease. Common STDs, including HIV infection, do not present as repeated, isolated chest infections long after exposure. The infections you describe (July and October 2025) are more consistent with routine respiratory illnesses (viral or bacterial), which can occur in anyone and may sometimes take longer to resolve. Your blood report values (TLC around 5100 with normal differential ranges) are within acceptable limits and do not suggest immune suppression. In conditions like HIV, when it becomes clinically significant, we usually see progressive immune changes, not isolated normal reports with occasional infections. Also, the timeline—almost 10–12 months after exposure—does not match the usual early presentation pattern of STDs.
Next Steps
At this point, there is no clinical evidence from your symptoms or reports suggesting an STD from that exposure. The main step is to avoid linking unrelated health events, as this can create unnecessary anxiety. Focus on maintaining general health and practicing safe sexual habits going forward. If anxiety persists, a direct consultation can help address your concerns in a structured and reassuring manner. Health Tips
Strengthen your immunity through a balanced routine—adequate sleep, proper nutrition, and stress control. Avoid overthinking past exposures, as this often leads to heightened health anxiety. Practice safe sex consistently to prevent future concerns. Staying informed, calm, and proactive is the best approach to long-term physical and mental well-being. Thank you
