Query regarding Endoscopy
Regular screening for endoscopy should be done within how many years ? I had one almost 10 months back and the reports were normal. My question is: It takes how many years for cancer to develop in esophagus or stomach for a person who had a normal endoscopy 1 yr back ? And regular screening should be done within how many years to know the condition of the GI tract ?

Cancer development may happen within months. But that doesn't mean that endoscopy to be done that frequently. Endoscopy Should only be done if indicated. Repeated Screening is done when suspected or in high risk individuals.
Next Steps
avoid spicy foods coffee tea cold drinks alcohol smoking junk food etc.
