Query on COVID Treatment
Doctor I had tested COVID positive on 15/01/2022 and Iam currently under home quarantine. Now my father ( 65 years ) also tested positive. He is having mild cold, cough and fever ( 37.5-37.9 Celsius ) as symptoms. Should treatment be done in a hospital or home quarantine is OK. Any particular medical tests should be done? Kindly reply

U should keep a watch on oxygen saturation if it falls below 93% then u may need hospital admission. If u two are vaccinated fully then may recover with mild symptoms at home. But keep a close observation especially on ua father, get his baseline parameters done like cbc, crp, blood sugar fasting, kft, x ray chest and if oxygen falls below 93% get ct chest, ferritin, ldh, d dimer, LDH done. And most importantly be relaxed dont take stress u both, this time the strain is mild, and u must be double vaccinated also
