I started doing pushups for like a week, did more than i should have per day probably, coz the other day when i try to reach something with my hand far away(on the table for example) a muscle on armpit hurts, something like a burning feeling. I dont feel any pain while doing regular daily stuff, only when i do that specific position it hurts.
What do i do to recover the muscle correctly? coz I worry if i dont do some easy stretch on the muscle it will recover badly and it will remain like that.

I recommend you to do frequent icing...
Do a light warm up exercise and gently stretch the lats...
