Psychological Enquiry
My mom was good untill few years back. She lost her gold then went into depression. She started believing someone dis black magic few days later she started scolding bad words to dad then we went to counselling one day where she was given medicine. She eats it once not as doctor prescribed. Currently she is scolding dad every time he comes to home from office. She is not eating tablets. After few hours she becomes normal. Need your guidance on what to do as it is out of control now & I am in fear of my dads mental health. Mom is bp patient, sugar patient & mentally challenged as well the way she behaves.

Hi Losing an item of great value or valuable possession amounts to financial loss. The body’s response to coping with loss is grief. She is probably going thru grief. It is better to visit a clinical psychologist for a proper psychiatric evaluation.
Next Steps

Hello, Parents well-being is always a matter of concern for a child. Being their son you are worried for both. I feel your mother is affected by the loss of gold which is a woman's possession collected over her lifetime . Also, she could be going through menopause as a possibility. In either case , kindly contact a psychologist who will correctly diagnose and help her heal. She requires understanding, patience and care in this age and stage of life. Her healing will transcend into the wellbeing of the entire family. Consult for further assistance.

Hi Your mom has been feeling depressed since she lost her gold. This incident of losing gold has affected her deeply. Your mom is not taking her medicines regularly. Consult a psychiatrist and explain about your mom's condition and the medicine she is taking. You can tell the psychiatrist that your mom is not taking her medicines regularly. A psychiatrist will guide you about what to do with regard to medicine. Your mom can also consult a psychologist for counselling sessions. It sounds like your mom is going through something and talking to a psychologist will help her feel better.
Next Steps
Consult a psychiatrist and psychologist.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficult situation you're facing with your mom. It's important to prioritise the safety and well-being of both your mom and dad. Here are some suggestions that may help: 1. Encourage your mom to continue with counselling and medication as prescribed by the doctor. Explain to her the importance of taking medication regularly and attending therapy sessions. 2. Consider seeking the help of a mental health professional who can evaluate your mom's condition and provide appropriate treatment options. 3. Talk to your dad about the situation and seek his input on how to handle it. It's important to have a plan that works for both of them. 4. Try to create a calm and supportive environment at home. Encourage positive communication between your parents and avoid arguments or conflicts. 5. Consider involving other family members or friends who can provide support and help with caregiving. Remember that caring for someone with mental health issues can be challenging, but with the right support and resources, it's possible to manage the situation and improve the quality of life for everyone involved.
