Hi. As a general checkkup on stress and possible onset of depression related symptoms, should I see a psychiatrist or psychologist? Also should I really see a specialist or try for alternative therapies such as meditation, yoga etc?

Hello,I would suggest you to see a psychologist to figure what's going on instead of diagnosing your concern on your own. Alternative therapies may help too , however as an aid to psychotherapy.
