Prolonged heavy periods
Hi, For the past couple of months, I am having prolonged periods lasting upto 15 days(Dec 21st - Jan 4th), heavy flow, painful. Used silky cup 6ml, 4-5 times a day quite constantly. Next, 19th Jan - 26th Jan. Heavy flow. But squeezing pain for 3-4 days after the flow stopped. Next period not started yet. Was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years back. It appears in many ways. Was put on medication for several months and then the periods regularized. But I want to know can this be caused due to it or is it a cause of concern Report from 4th October: Uterus is normal in size (7.5 x 4.7 x 3.2 cm) and echotexture. Endometrial thickness is 9.4 mm. Both ovaries are bulky and showing multiple peripherally arranged follicles. Right ovary measures 2.6 x 1.8 cm. Left ovary measures 3.7 x 2.1 cm. A cyst/dominant follicle of size 21 x 20 mm is noted. No free fluid is seen. IMPRESSION: Both ovaries (Left > Right) are showing polycystic morphology. Advice: Clinico hormonal correlation.

If you are over weight or obese, try to reduce your weight by 10%in one yr. Avoid junk food. Do fast walking for 30 to 60 minutes a day. Try to get rid from stress, take 8hrs of sound sleep. If you continue all above for at least 1 yr, you might not need medicines.
