Hello Doctor,
I am having severe hairfall. Since two months after been recovered from Jaundice. I have been adviced by my dermatologist to use keraboost tablet and hair serum. She recommended two one is containing Minoxidil and other one is containing procapil. She suggested to use any one. Based on availability. While searching online i found some side-effects for leaving minoxidil solution. Is there any for procapil also? Kindly help me so that i will choose a procapil solution. If its better compared to minoxidil. Because i cannot afford on a long run.. Thanks in advance

TELOGEN EFFLUVIUM may take 3-4 months on medication.
Don't use minoxidil in that case.
It responds well only with oral supplements.
Local application solutions are not of much use

Hi,
Considering your history of jaundice followed by rapid hair fall i suspect you must be having a condition called Telogen Effluvium. The condition is generally self resolving so there is nothing to worry.
I would recommend you a good multivitamin supplement tablet like Follihair New once a day for 1 month. Instead of Minoxidil, Procapil is a better option as it doesnt have any side effects. You can check for brand MINTOP PRO solution. It should be applied twice a day over dry scalp as mentioned on the pack.
Hope your query is resolved in satisfactory manner.
Kindly take out your time to drop in your valuable feedback.
Take care
