Rather than the size of the prostate, it is the symptoms that matter most. If you have no symptoms, there is no cause for concern. Grade 1 enlargement is not significant. The prostate naturally grows with age, so an ultrasound every one to two years is recommended. Treatment is only needed if you experience symptoms such as increased frequency or difficulty in passing urine.
