If the pin prick sensation is in outer 3 1/2 fingers and palm..it suggests carpal tunnel syndrome.

Numbness and pin prick sensation in fingers can be due to many reasons - vitamin D or B12 deficiency, thyroid hormone deficiency, neuropathic pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, cervical spondylosis, diabetes etc. Kindly consult a physician for proper diagnosis and treatment.
