If you already have diabetes,  then you should go for atleast 3 monthly tests for blood sugar. You will require more frequent testing if your medicines have changed or the sugar control is not good. The aim is to achieve normal levels as soon as possible instead of subjecting your body to high or low sugar levels and causing damages.
