Pregnant having UTI &fever; from 30 days

My Wife is 10 weeks Pregnant and in having fever from the last 4 weeks. She is also diagnosed for thyroid (6.5) however this is in pregnancy itself. She never has thyroid before. The body temperature is always in between 100 to 102 degree Fahrenheit . She is taking antibiotics and other medicine from our family gynecologist from last 1 month but there is no improvement. So far she has undergone 3 Urine tst and there is a increase in pus & epithelial cells every time. In recently tes the pus cells were 25. The widal test are negative. My worry is that infection should not spread to kidneys. I have already consulted a urologist who has prescribed for antibotic injection. But Gynecologist did not allow for that. I have also consulted a General Physician who is MD Medicine and he also denied to give injection and also told that what ever prescription is being given is ok. T I am worried kindly help me in this regard. Kindly suggest further.
