Hi doc, I am 6+ weeks pregnant and I am suffering from severe cold n cough from last 10 days i also did gargle, used Vaseline and did steam also but still the situation is same. I wanted to know that whether the cold n cough is harmful for the baby and what can I do in this condition.

excessive cough may increase abdominal contractions. and cause pressure on uterus too. beside its may b an viral infection can affect baby. but mlst of time it dsnt cause harm to baby. just keep doing gargle and get relief asap.and consult your gynecologist asap.
