Pregnancy medicine conf.
Hello, We have recently found out that my wife is pregnant. Her last periods started on 8th April. We found out result through home UPT kits on 9th May. We went to a local doctor. She has prescribed a couple of medicines for now and asked to get sonography after 20 days. One of the medicine suggested by her was Susten 200 for next 20 days (every night one). While we researched about this medicine over the internet, we found both positive and negative responses (during early stages of pregnancy). Would you suggest to continue the medicine? Can it be harmful? We are bit anxious and overly cautious as this is our first time after two years since marriage.

Congratulations on your pregnancy
Next Steps
I do not prescribe susten to otherwise healthy lady during her first pregnancy. Although it's not a harmful drug.
Health Tips
It's always a good idea to discuss with your Gynecologist regarding all the medications taken during pregnancy. This reduces ones anxiety .
