You can start using it from 5th month onwards. It's just application of dhanwantaram oil and keeping it for 30 min and then washing off in hot water. It will reduce the pregnancy complications like tiredness, body pain, etc and improves overall blood circulation and muscle tone. It is a good stress buster as well as also help reduce stretch marks... What ever is good for mother is gonna be good for the baby as well. There is no harm using it from 4 th month too... If you have any associated complications like nausea, sleeplessness, tiredness, belching, bloated feeling, anemia etc. do consult a qualified Ayurveda doctor for more personalised advice. Thank you.

Hello, Your friend is right about the month. It is to be applied starting from the 8th month of pregnancy, not before that. It should be applied on the lower abdomen region, lower back, groin, and thighs. It strengthens the muscles of these regions of the body and makes them flexible enough to ease the process of normal delivery. It should be applied twice a day-once half an hour before bath and second, before bedtime.

Hello, the suggestion of Dhanwantar oil is indeed very thoughtful. The only thing to be followed is massage and other strokes are to be avoided while using Dhanvantar taila. Only application (like applying the cream) is suggested. And as your friend has suggested, it is to be followed after 8th month and not before. This can be done on daily basis once pregnancy enters 8th month. Before that, it is not good for the health of foetus. Its main advantage is smooth delivery and faster post-delivery recovery. One could experience the ease in the movements of the body and hence it serves well for delivery process. Baby also gets nourishment via mothers system.
