Asked for Female, 23 Years

Hey, I had unprotected sex on 13th April 2016 and took pill within 24hours.Also i got my periods almost 10 days early (27th April)..it lasted for 5 days, but the flow was pretty thick, lesser than usual and non smooth. Now I am late for almost 4 days for my period. I took pregnancy test yesterday too.it came out to be negative. Please tell me am I pregnant? I am not able to understand what's happening. Thanks

No. You are not pregnant. emergency contraceptive pill (ECP ) like the one you took are high dose formulations and they are there to prevent pregnancy in an event of unprotected sex. But it can cause disturbance with your regular cycles for next few months..... Some have spotting some hsve excess bleeding some have delayed periods some have bleeding for many days all these could occur in a user of ECP If you indulge in frequent sex then it is better to switch to regular contraception pills rather than rely on ECP, as they are meant for people who have infrequent intercourse.
