Posterior intramural fibroid
I am 38 years old and experiencing heavy menstrual bleeding with clots. An ultrasound recently revealed a 1.5 cm x 1.5 cm fibroid. I had a similar fibroid detected in February 2024, which led to a prolonged period lasting three months. At that time, I took oral medication, which helped regulate the bleeding. I didn’t undergo any follow-up testing to confirm if the fibroid had cleared, but now I’m experiencing the same symptoms and have been on my period since October 22. My current doctor seems uncertain about my condition, so I would appreciate your guidance on the appropriate treatment options and any recommended medications.

Heavy menstrual bleeding might be due to many reasons apart from fibriod . More details about duration of your periods and your previous cycles or are you taking any other medication for any health issues??is needed for further assessment . I would recommend ultrasound along with blood workup

Hello since its a very small fibroid you can take certain medicines regularly during your periods which reduces both pain and heavy bleeding. The second option is to remove the fibroid by laproscopy. I personally would recommend to go with first option. For details you can connect me online.
