Post Perianal abscess
I had perianal abscess with an anal fistula surgery Friday, March 17th 2017 (5 or 6 days ago). I have been packing it everyday in the morning and when it becomes soiled. Most of the pain is gone and the wound looks very clean to me, but there is new small lump at one end of the wound that is very painful and is bleeding. My followup appointment is Monday, March 27th. My question is do you think I should go to ER and get it checked out sooner? Thank you for your time.

Hi If the new lump is painful and bleeding, please go to ER and get yourself evaluated. In case of further doubts, please feel free to write back to me. Regards Dr Prashik Meshram
