Post menopausal spotting
68 year old. Menopause in 55. Had mild white discharge last year and took scan. Uterus lining for 5.8 and then advised to repeat scan in few months. But dint have any symptoms after that. Couple of days back had spotting and now took pelvis scan. Here are the findings 1. Well defined hypo echoic lesion 17.8x13.4 cm in anterior fundus wall of uterus -S/o intramural uterine fibroid type 4 2. Endometrial thickness 10.5 mm 3. Mild irregular contour in upper endometrium with subtle areas of vascular it u within endometrial cavity Doctor said to do biopsy dnc. Is this cancer?? Can someone pls suggest what could it be?

Post Menopausal bleeding is not normal. So yes, you should at least go for diagnostic d&c.. And send the material for biopsy.. If biopsy comes normal.. Then no problem
