I was diagnosed with hsv 2 last year via swab. I have had no break outs since the initial outbreak, have not passed it on. I have been back to my doctor several times for new swaps and serology tests and all keep coming back negative. Is it possible to have been initially misdiagnosed or had something that mimicked hsv 2? I'm also negative for hsv1
