Hi Doctor, My friend had an oral exposure 5 months back, after 3 months, he tested negative for HSV 1 & 2 both igm and igg. He tested again for HSV 1 & 2 after 5 months and igg value shows 18. Recently a week back, he recovered from dengue fever, do you think, the igg level can be higher because of dengue, does he need to test again after a month to confirm? At 3 months, he had all negative tests. If he has an infection, how to cure this, does he need to accept and live with this all his life now? Please help.
