Possible brachial plexus injury
I have a possible brachial plexus injury, pain starts in my shoulder and neck runs down my arm and into my thumb. MY forearm and thumb are very numb and been this way for a few days. My question is, what kind of specialist do i see for this injury? is an orthopedic surgeon or a neurosurgeon a better choice?

You appear to have a disc prolapse in your neck compressing a nerve root in the neck. You will need to see an Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon for assessment and investigations. Dr Vinu Raj MBBS MRCS FRCS (Trauma&Orthopaedics) Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon
