Positive VDRL
I was detected with positive VDRL(1:8) test during a blood donation camp. I consulted a local dermatologist who recommended me Tab Doxycycline 100 mg BD for 28 days and Tab Azithromycin 2 g PO stat since Penicillin is not readily available where I live in Northeast India. But I read on Internet that Penicillin is the drug of choice. Would treatment with Doxycycline be equally effective?
