Taking treatment from urologist since last few months after dilation for minor stricture. Seeking advice if bowl movements affect the urine flow and what are the diagnostic tool for assesses ment. Intrested in paid consultation.

Bowel movements have no direct relation with urine flow. Diagnostic tools used to diagnose urethral stricture are retrograde urethrogram (injecting dye into urine tract and taking xray), uroflowmetry, micturating cystourethrogram.

Next Steps

Usually stricture needs repeated reviews with urologist and may require repeated manual dilatation.

Health Tips

Stick to reviews. Don't strain. If difficulty in passing urine, explain to urologist. Because prolonged straining can lead to many complications like hernia, kidney dilatation etc
