I have been having 2-3 polyps in rectum since long but detected 7 months ago only.. they were biopsied and revealed to be hyperplastic.. size was perhaps 0.5 cm n total of 3.. my Dr was not at all concerned and told me that we will remove them whenever you want, but they don't carry any risk
Later on, I shifted to some other city and got busy with my life and never focused on this until I heard about a colleague getting diagnosed with bowel cancer, and I suddenly became scared about my situation
Please tell me, how should I proceed next? Do these polyps Turn cancerous easily?

Hyperplastic polyps transform to maliagnancy very rarely only compared to other type of polyps. You can continue follow up colonoscopy as recommended by gastroenterologist. Hope there is no family history of CRC in your family.
