My sister is 10 years old & suffering bone cancer. She has PNET on left femur and has been complete 10 cycles of chemotherapy. Now doctor suggest radiotherapy as an alternative to surgery. Doctor said curable rate of cancer is same for surgery and radiotherapy. Now i need to know that radiotherapy will be better or need surgery to get better result? Isn't surgery has better curable rate than radiotherapy? Which one should we choose between surgery and radiotherapy to cure cancer? Please help me.

Please share your imaging reports post Neoadjuvant chemotherapy...whenever possible surgery is preferred over Radiotherapy..however if the tumour is technically not resectable due to location or if it's going to be very morbid resection, radiotherapy can be considered.

Please share your reports... Maybe the tumor is big and may not be amenable to complete removal
