Hi there, any kind of Psychiatric medication should not be started or stopped by self without proper guidance and supervision by a Psychiatrist. If you are having side effects with psychiatric medications, then please let ypur doctor know and let them help you wean off the medicine. There is no standard rule applicable to all, we need to decide on case to case basis. Also, combining ayurvedic medicines with allopathy may not be good idea as both specialities may not be aware of what other medicines do and side effects or results could be due to either. Trust in your treating doctor is of utmost importance. It might take time to get better but self medication can make things worse.
