Pleomorphic adenoma left parotid gland
I have a second(First in 2010) occurrence of pleomorphic adenoma left parotid gland.I have done Sonography,FNAC and CT Scan recently. All these procedures have reported that pleomorphic adenoma left parotid gland is present.Though all other areas surrounding it are normal. Doctors suggest me to undergo Parotidectomy . What should i do?

Pleomorphic adenoma is a common type of benign tumor of parotid gland. Once diagnosis it needs to be operated as it slowly grows in size. Since it is a recurrent tumor in your case second surgery is difficult. I suggest you to consult a very experienced head and neck surgeon. Otherwise you may have severe cosmetic implications after surgery
