How safe is the surgery of removing a benign tumor from submandibular gland? Should one keep it as it? If surgery is an option they don't want to opt.

If there is benign tumor of submandibular gland, it can be safely removed. Get it operated from good ENT Surgeon. Certain nerves need to be preserved. If you leave it, it can keep growing slowly which can later be problematic. Present surgery depends on your usg report. If very small,you can be kept on follow up as of now
