I m 27 years old boy. Started masturbating at the age of 17. For the last 10 years, I am masturbating and trying to leave this habit. From 5 years, I've been attempting to stop.
One year back, I met a doctor. Doctor prescribed escitalopram 10mg and clonazepam 0.25mg. Initially, I was feeling too much happy without any reasons. At night, I used to fall asleep immediately after taking medicine. I didn't masturbate for one month. But after one month, medicines were not working, and I started masturbating again.
I have two questions: First, which psychology disease is it called masturbating every day even though I don't want to? I can't control myself.
And second, why medicines didn't work after one month? I understand that clonazepam develops tolerance, but does escitalopram also develop tolerance?
