Without medical intervention and test you cannot be sure whether he has hepatitis c or not. So it is very important to go to a doctor and get treatment

I appreciate your concern regarding your friend. Hepatitis C virus is a bloodborne virus which spreads through unsafe injection practices, unsafe health care, unscreened blood transfusions, injection drug use and unsafe sexual practices. It may lead to acute and chronic hepatitis. More than 10 lakh patients in India are exposed to Hep C every year. However if diagnosed early, it is curable with advanced antiviral therapies. So my suggestion is get him medical help as soon as possible. He needs psychiatric counselling for his drug addiction and at the same time get him screened for hepatitis C/Hepatitis B/HIV.
