Dear , as per your information given by u , we have to rule out fever work up , if all fever work up is negative ,then probably the fever must be because of viral fever , in viral fever rash , Bodyache , decreased platelet count commenly seen ,
Second thing , machine and manual value varry , and in this situation mostly manual value is more confirmatory , as in this fever platelets get clumped so machine show's less value. So no need to worry , fallow up with your treating doctor
