Planing for pregnancy

Asked for Female, 28 Years

I have started doctor prescribed tablet folic acid 5mg with breakfast and metformin 500mg with dinner from 4th day of period. I was spotting till 3rd day of period after I started bleed and it's continued from 7 day. Is this normal or any effect of medicine . please help
