Pigmentation in lips

Hi I have lips hyperpigmentation due to which my lip colour is very dark. I have never smoked in my life.Can you suggest me something ? I heard TCA chemical peel lightens lip color.

Hello! There could be a few reasons for darkening of lips such as smoking ,dryness, sunexposure,product application. In wheatish skin type it may develop with age. Peels on lips can be cumbersome as it would cause dryness and lips may be irritated when eating food. TCA peels are strong peels and can cause extreme dryness hence not very advisable. Other option is q switch ND yag laser which has seen to be promising in such cases with less downtime as compared to peels.

apply sunscreen or lip balm with sunscreen during day time. at night nourish your lips with a good beeswax and Shea butter containing lip balm
