Pigmentation due to hypothyroidism
M on hypothyroidism medication since 2 months, during which have developed darkness around eyes and light brown spots below eyes.

From the it seems,you are suffering from melasma
Use sunscreen to prevent further increase and avoid sun exposure

There are various factors for pigmentation including hypothyroidism..
Need to be treated correctly to prevent further permanent pigmentation
Need complete evaluation and history for accurate diagnosis, After that correct treatment options can be provided
Use antioxidants for now
