Pexcep ( generic name- paroxetine) is an SSRI and like all SSRI can cause weight gain, increase in cholesterol, blood sugar, decreased electrolytes, etc and should be discussed with doctor.

Pexep is an antidepressant medicine. It's most prominent side effect is drowsiness. But if used over a long time, it can lead to weight gain, and changes in blood sugar and cholesterol levels, although the occurrence is quite rare. Nevertheless, you should keep a regular check on your blood parameters and weight on this medicine.
