PET scan report
Hi ,
Can you please help me understand the PET scan report of my mother. She was diagnosed with a lump in her breast in 2019 which was treated . But again since a few months it has increased and we consulted an oncologist who asked us to get a few tests done and today we got PET Scan done and I wanted help in understanding the report as we have a doctor appointment on Thursday.

Based on the PET and history you mentioned , this is suggestive of a disease recurrence with distant metastasis - disease that have spread outside the primary site and primary lymph node draining areas .
This is advanced stage of the disease .
