We will know more with few more questions. Like, is the dry cough more in morning or night? Is it severe on particular occasions, like  spicy food or exposure to dust or pets? Is the cough due to irritation in throat? Does it get worse with any specific food? Do you feel like something trickling down your throat?
Next Steps
Basic investigations include total counts and differential counts, IgE levels and chest x ray.
