Persistent cough
I am having persistent cough for the past one week. I had recovered from the same symptoms just a month back as well. What could be the reason. I am also coughing up lots of mucus and this happens mostly during winters.

You could be having post nasal drip and/or reflux, mucus is in favour of post nasal drip. You will need to be examined.
Next Steps
Book an appointment with an ENT close to you, do not self medicate with OTC cough syrups.
