I need to take Primolut N in October for delaying my periods from 3rd Nov to 20th 9th Nov .I do get regular periods and my date is 2nd Nov every month. I haven't taken primolut since 10 years. Is it okay to take it once in a while and what should be the dose. I take minipress xl 2.5mg once after breakfast daily. Also pls advice if I can take the primolut N safely with my blood pressure medication
Norethisterone (Primolut N) is a standard option for shifting your period for a short event, and using it occasionally after a 10 year gap isn't unusual or unsafe by itself. How many days you take it for depends on how far you need to push your date, so that's not something to decide on your own. Prazosin for blood pressure has no known interaction with it, but hormonal medicines can sometimes affect fluid retention, so your readings are worth watching while you're on it.
Next Steps
Check with your gynaecologist before starting, so they can set the right dose and timing for your 3rd to 9th November window, and keep an eye on your blood pressure through those days.
Health Tips
See a doctor sooner if you get sudden swelling, a severe headache or a marked rise in your BP readings.
