Got pelvic burning pain from last 1 month immediately after a fingering activity.Did Sonography.Report says "minimal free fluid in POD".Doctor said pelvic infection.Gave ciprofloxacin 500 twice daily for 5 days .Course completed.Still getting pain.although less intensity then previously.Please suggest.

Hello, If you are diagnosed with PID, your sexual partner(s) also must be treated even if they do not have any symptoms. Otherwise, the infection will likely recur when you have sex again. Within a few days of starting treatment, your symptoms may improve or go away. However, you should finish your medication, even if you are feeling better. Stopping your medication early may cause the infection to return.Pain will subside gradually.
