My daughter is 2.3 years old and her weight is 9.2 kg and recently consulted pediatrician for contipation issue. He had prescribed laxopeg laxative for one sachet morning and 1 bedtime for total 7 days. I followed it and gave one night and next morning , during afternoon she gets fever and refused to eat anything and barely drinking any liquid due to which she looks dehydrated. Post consultation again doctor prescribed her paracetamol and the Syvacit medication to increase the apetite. I just wanted to know and take second opinion if this medication is safe for 2 year old. As she is under weight and she has very less appetite doctor have prescribed this medicine.pls help me with this as I don't want to take any further risk as she is anyway suffering from constipation and fever currently.

It’s not looking like medication induced but Syvacit O is not used to increase apatite. It’s use full in reflux or peptic unclers.
Can continue PEG sachets and paracetamol 250 3ml sos and weight gain start making energy dense foods like add ghee in meal, peanut sesame chikki, homemade peanut butter, dry fruits powder. Give extra meal/day
Next Steps
Should examine for anthropometric measurements. Direct consultation would be better
Laxopeg (PEG 3350) is generally considered safe for children and is unlikely to be the cause of fever.
Fever and reduced intake are more likely due to an underlying illness. Since your child is drinking very little and appears dehydrated, adequate fluids and pediatric reassessment are important.
Syvacit is commonly used for stomach irritation/reflux symptoms and is not a typical appetite stimulant.
As your child is underweight and currently has fever with poor intake, I would advise a follow-up examination with your pediatrician to assess hydration status and look for the cause of fever rather than focusing only on appetite.
