Developmental trigger thumb is quite common in our practice . A node will be noticeable near the finger base. It can resolve by it self by age 2 by gentle stretching exercises.but you should not do forcible exercises to straighten the thumb .surgery is offered after age 2 If the finger is locked or repeated locking is occuring.
