PCV vaccination
Hi, I'm having 2.5months old kid. At 1.5 months he was vaccinated in government hospital where he was given PCV 1st dose. Now at 2.5 months, they are saying there is no need for PCV 2nd dose and they'll administer directly at 3.5 months. According to them, there is only 2 doses of PCV(at 1.5 and 3.5 months) with one booster dose(12 to 15months) is enough. But, in private hospitals they are providing 3 doses of PCV(at 1.5, 2.5 , 3.5 months) and one booster dose(at 12 to 15 months). So, is it really necessary for one additional dose at 2.5 months? If yes, can we take only 2nd dose at private and continue all other vaccines from government hospital. Thanks in advance.
