I am having PCOS problem.i have married one year back.because of this pcos I am not able to conceive.when I went to doctor she has conducted many hormone tests AMH,TSH,PRL,FSH,LH and other tests.she advised me to take siphene 100 tablet from the second day of my period. After I visited her she scanned me and said u did not response to sephene and your follicular did not increase. So she said that she will give another type of tablets. But meanwhile my mother is saying to undergo for laproscopy because she is sure that PCOS can't be relieved by medicine
Please advise me what to do.i am very confused.is there any chance that PCOS can be cured by medicine

Laparoscopy is done only when other treatment has failed and your hormonal profile is abnormal but your weight is normal. If there is no response to siphene, we can increase the dose and even if that fails, we usually give trial by 2nd type of drugs. If these fail, we have 2 options- injection FSH or laparoscopy, both having their advantages and disadvantages
Pcos can be controlled with medicine and you should have certain life style modifications with it every Pcos does not link with infertility.. If you have infertility then couple counselling and inv. necessary.. Seek advise from fertility expert

We need to investigate your husband also for certain test. Normally we give trial of medicines for 3 months before doing Laparoscopy, Provided your husband's test are normal.
